From Our Director
“Like many of us, I grew up with Monty Python and their zany, absurd humour,” says Director Barry Hill. “Naturally, when the opportunity came up to bring the musical version to the stage, I jumped at it. Spamalot contains all your favourite characters, King Arthur, Patsy (his horse), his knights, the Knights of Ni, Tim the Enchanter, the killer rabbit and many more! I am indeed fortunate to have such a talented cast with a wealth of experience to join me in my journey along with Selena’s clever choreography and Tammy’s musical direction and amazing orchestra. So come join us and find your Grail and have a good laugh at the same time!
Musical Director’s Perspective
Musical Director Tammy Papps is equally enthusiastic about the show:
“It is so brilliantly written – the script is a delight, and the orchestration and vocals are complex yet achievable. The skilled and experienced musicians will ensure that the score grooves and moves in all the right places and the vocally strong cast blend beautifully together. I’ve no doubt the wonderful soloists will make the parts their own and there will be some lovely poignant moments among the laughs. We can’t wait to share it with audiences!“
Choreographer’s Vision
Choreographer Selena Britz has big plans for the movement and dance:
“We’re going to create something that’s equal parts Broadway choreography and silliness. Imagine knights doing synchronized dance moves. Imagine showgirls in medieval settings. Imagine a number inspired by Finland. It’s going to be gloriously ridiculous, and this cast is absolutely up for the challenge. Their energy and commitment are exactly what we need to make these numbers shine.”
Tickets go on sale in March 2026. Don’t miss out!
